I try to avoid voicing these words.  Just the sound of them sends shivers down my spine!

1. Sphincter

2. Gristle

3. Spleen

4. Urk

5. Juice

6. Heinous

7. Spurt

8. Scrot

9. Wenus

10. Dag

Hmm most of them sound suspiciously like body parts or functions.  But in any case, they are totally gross!  (Perhaps I should have added the word “gross” to the list?)

A friend told me to check out an “Amy X Neuburg” on MySpace.  When I first listened to one of her songs I was skeptical that it was really the “genius” music that he had promised.  It didn’t even sound like a song to me.  Just some crazy woman’s skit.  But after listening to a few songs I was hooked. Yes, Amy X Neuburg is completely crazy like I originally thought, but she is talented and totally worth checking out.

Inside the fine line lay a gap where I sat observing the fact that on either side was myself staring back.

An interesting video on creativity and education.  A speech by Ken Robinson.

The more I think about things the more complicated they seem and consequently the simpler I wish that things would be.  Until I realise that if things really were that simple then I would attempt to complicate things if only to selfishly give them more meaning in my own thoughts.  Which is when I think that I should simply not think at all.

Lily Allen- “The Fear” lyrics

I want to be rich and I want lots of money
I don’t care about clever I don’t care about funny
I want loads of clothes and fuckloads of diamonds
I heard people die while they are trying to find them

I’ll take my clothes off and it will be shameless
‘Cuz everyone knows that’s how you get famous
I’ll look at the sun and I’ll look in the mirror
I’m on the right track yeah I’m on to a winner

I don’t know what’s right and what’s real anymore
I don’t know how I’m meant to feel anymore
When we think it will all become clear
‘Cuz I’m being taken over by The Fear

Life’s about film stars and less about mothers
It’s all about fast cars and passing each other
But it doesn’t matter cause I’m packing plastic
and that’s what makes my life so fucking fantastic

And I am a weapon of massive consumption
and its not my fault it’s how I’m program to function
I’ll look at the sun and I’ll look in the mirror
I’m on the right track yeah I’m on to a winner

I don’t know what’s right and what’s real anymore
I don’t know how I’m meant to feel anymore
When we think it will all become clear
‘Cuz I’m being taken over by The Fear

Forget about guns and forget ammunition
Cause I’m killing them all on my own little mission
Now I’m not a saint but I’m not a sinner
Now everything is cool as long as I’m getting thinner

I don’t know what’s right and what’s real anymore
I don’t know how I’m meant to feel anymore
When we think it will all become clear
‘Cause I’m being taken over by fear

Just watched this video on youtube.  Called “Black String Theory” it is a short film directed by Shannon and produced by Drexel Box.  It’s kinda crazy, kinda creepy, but definately catchy and artistic.  Big thumbs up!

My mind sleeps a lot.  Sleep talks incoherently and then awakes unexpectantly with a burp before it swiftly turns out the light again.

I realised something today. It was profound yet obvious. Such so that I feel embarrassed when I acknowledge that I should have reached this particular conclusion eons ago. It is so natural that I was most likely born with this knowledge. But like the rest of human kind, my subconscious does not readily divulge such truths. Who ever decided to create us like that? Stupid self-discovering bullshit.
